2,099,707 votes made up the Triple J Hottest 100 on 2014.

59 Australian songs made the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2014. Next was the USA with 15 and UK with 14.

59% of the Hottest 100 were by groups. 41% were from solo artists.

Eyes, Heart and Hands were the most popular body parts in songs. Only one song mentioned junk.

52% of votes came from males, 48% from females.

There were four cover songs featured in the Hottest 100.

People from 80s countries voted for the countdown.

Chet Faker was the only artist to score three songs in the Hottest 100. A threesome has only happened once before, by Powerfinger in 2003.

Powderfinger also held the record for the most songs in the Hottest 100 with 22 entries over time. This year Dave Grohl equalled their record after appearing four times with Nirvana, once with Them Crooked Vultures and this year, Foo Fighters ‘Something From Nothing’ aligned Grohl with the Powerfinger/Fanning record.
