UB40, who were forced to postpone a series of shows due to drummer Jimmy Brown’s repetitive strain injuries in his wrists, will return to the road by the end of October.

The group has a single date on October 26 in Fort Regent, England followed by another month of rest before playing Liverpool Cathedral on November 23. Four additional dates in Holland complete the band’s schedule for 2013.

Band management said “Jimmy would like to thank all the UB40 fans who have sent messages wishing him a speedy recovery. While Jimmy’s treatment continues, he is confidently looking forward to returning to the stage with UB40 at the end of October.”

The band is promoting their new album Getting Over the Storm.
