Gurrumul has filmed a video for ‘Amazing Grace’ with Paul Kelly.
Gurrumul has sung his version of the classic hymn in his native tongue, Yoingu.
The origins of this version started with Kelly and Gurrumul sang the song together at the Barunga Festival in the Northern Territory in June.
The ‘Amazing Grace’ video was directed by Paul Williams and Stuart Van Eysden, and produced by Shannon Swan for Skinnyfish Music. Katie Milwright is Director of Photography, with post-production from Resolution Media.
Gurrumul and Paul Kelly’s version of ‘Amazing Grace’ is featured on Gurrumul’s ‘The Gospel Album.
