Michael Buble “To Be Loved” has remained for a fifth week at No.1 in Australia.  

With Mothers Day (in Australia) only a week away, it could be said that Michael Buble will be given as a gift to a lot of Mums next weekend, as his album “To Be Loved” holds for a third consecutive week at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, becoming the equal longest run at the top this year (so far), the other three week run was for Bruno Mars in January.

Thanks to the multiple Triple J Hottest 100 for 2012 placements, local electro-lad Flume sees his self-titled album jump up fifteen places to No.1 this week.

Guy Sebastian earns his second No.1 album in Australia with his seventh studio album “Armageddon”, which climbs three places to the top of the ARIA Albums chart this week. It’s exactly nine years since he first topped the ARIA Charts with his debut single “Angels Brought Me Here” landing at the top this week in 2003 (1-Dec-2003).

With PSY in the country most of last week, dancing for his fans and the media with his “Gangnam Style”, he has remained at No.1 for a fourth straight week on the ARIA Singles Chart, plus the song leaps from two times to now four x Platinum in sales.

P!nk spends her fourth straight week at No.1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with “The Truth About Love”. Her total of weeks at No.1 now up to 28 accumulated weeks, placing her at outright 11th on the list of ‘Most Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965-2012)’, her next target now is the 30 weeks that Elton John (7) and Michael Jackson (6) have racked up with their respective No.1 album amounts (in brackets).

Matchbox Twenty debut at No.1 with their fourth studio album “North” becoming their fourth of five charting albums to reach the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, plus it also achieves Gold sales status in its first week of release.
