Rising Melbourne rap star Illy discuss the all-Aussie hip-hop fest Sprung, his new back-to-basics album and fans ranking the rappers.

His second album, The Chase, was Illy’s breakthrough in the ever-expanding pantheon of Australian hip-hop, with the Owl Eyes-featured ‘It Can Wait’ nabbed thousands more fans.

But that was in 2010. What will Illy’s new album Bring It Back hold? Apart from guest spots from scores of big-name rappers like Pez, Reason, Mantra, Thundamentals and more? And what about his biggest headlining tour ever? And what of the mammoth Sprung Festival in Brisbane on November 10? Watch and learn.
