In June 2016 Mark Seymour & The Undertow gathered at Melbourne’s Bakehouse Studio to perform the songs that would become ‘Roll Back The Stone’.

Seymour turned back that stone 30 years and performed 24 songs over three nights for the album.

‘Roll Back The Stone’ features songs from Hunters & Collectors as well as Mark’s solo years and in this interview, Mark explains why the history picks up a few years after Hunters began and misses songs from the first two albums.

Mark Seymour spoke to Paul Cashmere from Noise11.com.

Parliament Release Their First Song In 38 Years

While there have been many releases out of the Parliament-Funkadelic universe over the last few decades by the P-Funk Allstars, Funkadelic (alone), and other groups along with George Clinton solo releases, there has not been a studio recording from Parliament in 38 years. There last album was 1980's Trombipulation and last single "Agony of DeFeet" from the same year.

Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore Is Recording John Cage Music

Composer John Cage (1912-1992) is one of the classical world’s best known experimental composers and theorists. Electronic Music for Piano is one of Cage’s least known pieces because the score is among his most enigmatic and, consequently, there are few commercial recordings of it. Written in Stockholm in 1964 on hotel letterhead, the notes ask the performer to select parts from Cage’s Music for Piano 4-84 and use electronic equipment. Everything else is up to the artist’s discretion.
