Former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm is the voice of the new Alan Parson track ‘Sometimes”.

Gramm’s last album with Foreigner was ‘Mr Moonlight’ in 1994. Between 1987 and 2015 Lou has released four solo albums.

Alan Parsons was the engineer on The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ and ‘Let It Be’ albums as well as Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’.

Parsons created The Alan Parsons Project to release a series of Prog-Rock albums through the 70s and 80s. In 1999, Mike Myers named-checked him in the movie ‘The Spy Who Shagged Me’.

Parsons’ new album is called ‘The Secret’. Alan is an amateur magician and named the album after his hobby. “Magic has always been a passion of mine, I am a member of The Magic Castle in Los Angeles,” Alan Parsons said. “I’ve also worked with the Japanese magic company Tenyo, writing instruction books and catalogs for their tricks. I dabble with magic myself in my free time, so an album with magical influences was a natural progression”.

‘The Secret’ also features a track with Jason Mraz.

Tracklist:
1. THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE (instrumental)*
2. MIRACLE (lead vocal: Jason Mraz)
3. AS LIGHTS FALL (lead vocal: Alan Parsons)
4. ONE NOTE SYMPHONY (lead vocal: Todd Cooper)
5. SOMETIMES (lead vocal: Lou Gramm)
6. SOIRÉE FANTASTIQUE (lead vocal: Todd Cooper, Alan Parsons)
7. FLY TO ME (lead vocal: Mark Mikel)
8. REQUIEM (lead vocal: Todd Cooper)
9. BEYOND THE YEARS OF GLORY (lead vocal: PJ Olsson)
10. THE LIMELIGHT FADES AWAY (lead vocal: Jordan Huffman)
11. I CAN’T GET THERE FROM HERE (lead vocal: Jared Mahone) featured in Motion Picture “5-25-77”

The Damned + The Hard Ons, Northcote Theatre, Friday 22nd March 2024

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
