The death of David Bowie in January has promoted one of the most remarkable tribute shows in Australia.

David Bowie ‘Nothing Has Changed’ is in residency this weekend at Hamer Hall at Melbourne’s Arts Centre.

The show is the creation of producer Amanda Pelman who has gathered an extraordinary team of contemporary and rock performers backed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

‘Nothing Has Changed’ features iOTA, Deborah Conway, Tim Rogers, Steve Kilbey, Adalita, Ash Naylor, Davey Lane and Robyn Loau. As Bowie was such a unique and diverse performer Pelman chose each performer for their different personal styles best suited to each song.

David Bowie Nothing Has Changed is on at Hamer Hall Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 15, 16 and 17 October at 8pm as part of the Melbourne Festival.

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
