Claiming the No.1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for an eighth week are Lukas Graham with their “7 Years”, which this week is not on top of either the digital or streaming chart, but the leaders on both of the charts have lower positions on the other; so that makes the winner Lukas Graham, who are on top of both the singles and albums chart this week.

“7 Years” (#2 digi/#2 stream) now becomes the longest run at the top in Australia for a Danish act, beating the seven weeks achieved by Aqua and “Doctor Jones” from late 1997, and this becomes the 44th song to notch up eight weeks at No.1 in Australia, with the last song to achieve eight weeks (and only eight weeks) at the top here was “Blurred Lines” (from May 13th, 2013) for Robin Thicke with T.I. and Pharrell. And with the bands second self-titled album debuting at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart this week, the group becomes the 123rd such act to achieve the top on both Australian charts, the last one being Adele back in the last week of November with “Hello” and “25” for two weeks, plus Aqua and the Doctor also spent two weeks at the top of both charts in late January of 1998.

For a fourth week Alan Walker and his “Faded” (#4 digi/#3 stream) track has not budged from the No.2 position, whilst a third week at No.3 for the new streaming No.1 song in the country by Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign with “Work from Home” (#5 digi/#1 stream), which is newly crowned ▲Platinum in sales. After the stable top three comes two songs to challenge for the top spot, with Disturbed scoring their first Top 10 (and Top 5) single with the cover of “The Sound of Silence” (#3 digi) (the original peaked at No.3 in early February 1966) jumping up eleven places to No.4, and right behind them and leaping twenty-one spots is the new No.1 digital song in the country “I Hate U, I Love U” (#1 digi) for Gnash and Olivia O’Brien, landing at No.5 this week.

Mike Posner is No.1 in England for a fourth week with “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” (#6 digi/#4 stream); here it is down one spot to No.6 this week, and the third of four new Top 10 entries this week is up six places to a new peak of No.7, The Chainsmokers with Daya on “Don’t Let Me Down” (#8 digi/#6 stream), both tracks now certified Gold (●) in sales, with Daya replacing herself within the Top 10, and The Chainsmokers scoring their second consecutive and third overall Top 10 entry. Sia is back down two places to No.8 with her “Cheap Thrills” (#9 digi/#9 stream), which went to No.1 in Ireland and Bulgaria this past week, and scoring her sixth Top 10 single (from seven Top 100 entries) this week is Meghan Trainor with “No” (#7 digi/#17 stream), which is up two places to a new peak of No.9 and is now Gold (●), whilst slipping three spots to No.10 are The Hilltop Hoods with “1955” (#10 digi/#7 stream).

UP: After the Top 10, there are no upward moving songs until No.25, where Alessia Cara and her “Wild Things” (#27 digi/#24 stream) is up two spots to a new peak, whilst the Little Mix and Jason DeRulo duet “Secret Love Song” (#19 digi) benefits from their performance on the ‘Graham Norton Show’ screened here last Friday, the song jumping up eleven spots to a new peak of No.27 and now Gold (●) in sales. DOWN: There are four songs leaving the Top 10 this week, with Daya replacing herself this week, her first Top 10 entry “Hide Away” (HP-6, WI10-4, #11 digi/#8 stream) is down two to No.11 and newly certified ▲Platinum, then a big drop for twenty one pilots and “Stressed Out” (HP-2, WI10-8, #12 digi/#15 stream) which is down eight to No.12, but with them in the country in two weeks time, it could return to the ten. “My House” (HP-6×2, WI10-7, #13 digi/#19 stream) for Flo Rida is down five to No.13 and also down five is Charlie Puth with “One Call Away” (HP-3, WI10-10, #14 digi/#29 stream) to No.15 this week. New Zealand duo Georgia and Caleb Nott are better known as Broods, and the pair land not only their third Top 100 entry, but also their first Top 50 placing, as the first single from their forthcoming second album lands the highest new entry of the week at No.35 with “Free” (#28 digi) which also came in at No.30 this week in the home country.

The second and final Top 50 debut is from a man who lands three new entries this week, US rapper and singer Drake who’s first of three is in at No.43, “One Dance” (#29 digi) featuring Wizkid and Kyla. In the lower fifty Drake also debuts at No.59 with “JumpMan” with Future, the song helped into the charts by Taylor Swift singing along to the song in a new Apple ad, and a few places lower at No.62 is “Pop Style” (#37 digi) featuring guest act The Throne, with the two Drake lead tracks taken from his forthcoming fourth studio album ‘Views from the 6’ and this gives him five Top 100 entries this week, as he is also on the Rihanna track “Work” (TW-23, #30 digi/#10 stream) and “Hotline Bling” (TW-85).
