Danish act Lukas Graham remains at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart for a fourth straight week (fifth week too in the UK) with “7 Years”, which this week is newly certified ▲Platinum in sales.

“7 Years” is now the equal longest run at the top during 2016, as Justin Bieber and “Love Yourself” spent the first four weeks of the year at the top (three in 2015), plus the Lukas Graham song is now the equal second longest run at the top for a Danish act, matching the four weeks that the first Danes to reach the top achieved back in February of 1994, “Give it Up” by Cut ‘N’ Move, whilst in first place is Aqua with “Doctor Jones” (from 28-Dec, 1997) which stayed for seven weeks.

“Stressed Out” for twenty one pilots is up one place to a new peak of No.2 this week, and with the band here in five weeks time (from April 20th in Sydney) and playing the ‘Groovin’ the Moo’ festival plus major city sideshows, the song will no doubt be around within the Top 10 for at least the next two months. And after scoring their highest charting single last week with “1955”, the Hilltop Hoods are back down one spot to No.3 and the track is now Gold (●) in sales.

The new Disclosure remix of the former No.1 single for Flume “Never Be Like You” was released this week, and the track holds at No.4 this week, whilst climbing back up two places into the Top 5 is Charlie Puth and his track “One Call Away”. The third of five stable tracks this week is at No.6 for Flo Rida and “My House”, followed by “Roses” by The Chainsmokers and “Gold” by Kiiara (now ▲Platinum) on hold at No.9 and No.10 respectively.

Australia becomes the first country in the world to give the Daya track “Hide Away” a Top 10 berth, as this week the track is up six spots to a new peak of No.7 and the other entrant to the ten is “Cheap Thrills” for Sia, up four places to land at No.8, becoming her eighth Top 10 single in Australia and the second from her latest album “This is Acting” (TW-15), as “Alive” (TW-73) debuted and peaked at No.10 (5th Oct, 2015), so her new song also becomes her highest charting from the new album too, plus it joins other countries to already make it a Top 10 hit in Finland, Norway (both TW #4) and Ireland (TW #6).

UP: After debuting in the Top 40 last week, Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign leap up twenty-six places to No.13 with “Work from Home”, whilst right behind them at No.14, up six, is Alan Walker and his EDM track “Faded”. Last weeks highest new entry for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with “Dance off” is up a couple of places to a new peak of No.19 and Mike Posner halves his position from last week as “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” jumps twenty-three places to land at No.23. Coldplay and Beyonce climb a couple of places to a new peak of No.24 with “Hymn for the Weekend” (former peak #25) and jumping up twelve to land within the Top 40 is Taylor Swift with “New Romantics” at No.35. Little Mix and Jason DeRulo are up sixteen spots to a new peak of No.41 with their “Secret Love Song” and also new to the Top 50 this week is Miike Snow and “Genghis Khan”, up fourteen places to land at No.47, becoming their first Top 50 hit and its taken from this weeks No.18 debuting album “iii”, whilst Rufus also return to the Top 50, up six to No.46 with “You Were Right” (HP-22).

Justin Bieber is down four to No.15 with “Love Yourself” (now 5x▲Platinum) and his other former Top 10 single “Sorry” is down two to No.21 (and now 4x▲Platinum). Landing the highest new entry this week at No.28 is the first entry for UK singer/songwriter Yo Preston who has covered the Justin Bieber song “Love Yourself” with some new lyrics he penned to make it a lovers battle song featuring female singer Kelly Kiara, with the result being renamed “Love Yourself vs F@*k Yourself”. The second and final Top 50 debut this week is a new ballad by X-Factor 2012 winner Samantha Jade entitled “Always”, which debuts at No.36 this week, with her stint acting on ‘Home & Away’ starting last week. This becomes her 13th Top 100 entry and eighth Top 50 placing, with her “Nine” (HP-11) album returning at No.89 this week too.

Lower 50: The Weeknd has two songs that are re-certified this week, with “Can’t Feel My Face” now 4x▲Platinum down three to No.52 and “The Hills” down one spot to No.54 and now 3x▲Platinum. Local singer Joel Adams is up twelve places to a new chart height of No.65 with “Please Don’t Go” (its #61 in Canada this week too), and Kendrick Lamar sees his “King Kunta” get a ▲Platinum certification this week, and drops eight to No.67. 22 year old Sydney singer Nicole Millar first came to our attention as the guest vocalist on the Peking Duk track “High” (HP-5, peaked April 2014), and this week she lands her first solo entry “Tremble” at No.53. A few places lower at No.55 is the first single from the May due second album for Meghan Trainor entitled ‘Thank You’, the song is called “No”, and it becomes her seventh Top 100 Singles chart entry also.

Kendrick Lamar dropped a surprise album last week entitled “Untitled Unmastered” (TW #3), all tracks are called ‘Untitled’ with a number and date next to each title, and from the new set is this weeks No.71 entry “Untitled 02 L 06.23.2014”. Local EDM act Safia enters at No.77 with “Make Them Wheels Roll” becoming the bands fifth Top 100 entry and they’ll be touring during May to promote the track too.

Halsey lands her second Top 100 entry this week by debuting at No.99 with “Colors”, taken from her debut album “Badlands” (TW-31), with her previous entry being back in February with “Hold Me Down” (HP-78). And finally making their Top 100 debut at #100 is Norwegian indie pop band Highasakite and the first single from their forthcoming third album ‘Camp Echo’ entitled “Someone Who’ll Get it”.
