Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth hold for a fifth week atop the ARIA Singles Chart with their ballad “See You Again”, making the song the longest run at the for 2015 so far.

But leaping from last weeks debut of No.14 to No.2 this week is local singer Grace (Sewell) with G-Eazy on her cover of “You Don’t Own Me”, which benefitted from the series return this past week of Ch.9’s “Love Child”, of which the song is plastered throughout the promos for the show. And by leaping into the Top 10 Grace beats her brother Conrad to the Top 10 (he cracks the Top 20 this week) and she also surpasses the previous peaks “You Don’t Own Me” achieved in the past, with the original for Lesley Gore reaching No.4 in its eighth week (5-March 1964) and The Ormsby Brothers made it to No.5 (11th week in chart, early September 1973 {although the song did go to No.2 on the Go-Set chart in early Nov 73}). Plus Grace is the second Australian act to claim a No.2 single this year after Jarryd James did it last month, plus next week she could be the first local to top the charts this year.

Climbing a single place again to a new peak this week are Walk the Moon with “Shut Up + Dance” at No.3, and with these two jumps it pushes two of the former top three songs down, with “Lean On” for Major Lazer and Jamie Lawson with “Wasn’t Expecting That” both down two places to No.4 and No.5 respectively. After leaping into the Top 10 last week, Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor drop back a place to No.6 with “Marvin Gaye” and the other of last weeks Top 10 entries, “Hey Mama” for David Guetta and Nicki Minaj with Afrojack climbs three places to a new peak of No.7. Further songs dropping two places each are Jason DeRulo with “Want to Want Me”, Galantis and “Runaway (U & I) and Jarryd James with “Do you Remember” to eight, nine and ten respectively.

UP: James Bay not only jumps up nine places to a new peak of No.11 with his second chart entry “Let it Go”, the song also achieves the only new certification this week, claiming Gold (●) in sales. Sia lands her third Top 20 single from her current album, as “Big Girls Cry” is up four places to No.17 and jumping ten places to land at No.20 is Kygo and Conrad (Sewell) with “Firestone”. Olly Murs and Demi Lovato are back “Up” a place to No.21 thanks to her recent tour, and up five to a new peak of No.24 is Rachel Platten with her “Fight Song”, whilst Tori Kelly jumps thirteen places to land at No.27 with her track “Nobody Love”. Meghan Trainor’s tour and Logie appearance helps her third single “Dear Future Husband” to rise back up ten spots to No.29 and Kendrick Lamar keeps climbing with “King Kunta”, up to a new peak of No.33 whilst right behind him Deorro and Chris Brown are up eleven spots to a new chart height of No.34 with the remixed “Five More Hours”. Paloma Faith’s tour here helps her former No.1 “Only Love Can Hurt like This” back into the Top 50, up eleven spots to No.45, whilst up six to a new peak of No.49 are Tinashe and Iggy Azalea with “All Hands on Deck”.

DOWN: The only song dropping out of this weeks Top 10 are Skrillex and Diplo with Justin Bieber on “Where Are U Now” (HP-3, WI10-5), after which “King” for Years & Years moves away from a Top 10 return, down three to No.14 whilst leaving the Top 20 are Vance Joy with “Georgia” which is down five to No.23 and Jess Glynne and “Hold My Hand”, dropping six to No.25. Hermitude debuted at No.26 last week with “The Buzz” which falls back six to No.32 this week, whilst Iggy Azalea has two new Top 50 entries, her former Top 10 single (and now UK Top 10 track) “Trouble” is down six to No.37 this week. Birds of Tokyo and their “Anchor” EP dips down five places to No.38 after debuting last week and Sia drops eight spots to No.43 with her “Elastic Heart”.

Britney Spears is due to release her ninth studio album some time in 2015, and the first single from that album is the highest new entry this week; coming in at No.40 is “Pretty Girls” featuring Iggy Azalea as guest rapper. This new entry becomes Britney’s 31st Top 50 and 32nd Top 100 entry and her first new entry since she failed to reach the Top 50 for the only time with “Perfume” (HP-61, Nov 2013).

Lower 50: What So Not leap thirty-three places to No.52 with “Gemini” and back up twelve spots to No.53 are Florence + the Machine with “Ship to Wreck” (HP-52). Meghan Trainor’s tour also helps her first two single to jump back up, with “All About That Bass” rising nineteen to No.55 and its follow-up “Lips are Movin’” up twenty spots to No.59, both songs she performed as a medley at last weekends ‘Logie Awards’ too. Also touring and appearing on the Logies were The Script, whose former Top 10 single “Superheroes” (HP-7) returns to the Top 100 at No.56, whilst Ed Sheeran jumps up twenty-four places to a new peak of No.60 with his latest track “Photograph”. Fifth Harmony hold at their No.78 peak for “Worth it” and the final new peak in the lower fifty is from the third Logie performer of the night Ricky Martin who sang his new single “Mr. Put it Down” (without the Pitbull rap in it), which is up six places to No.91, whilst the only other returning track this week is at No.86, Katy Tiz with “Whistle (While You Work it)” (HP-54).

Third season (2011) X-Factor winner Reece Mastin returns at No.51 this week with the title track from his new album “Rebel and the Reason” which becomes his eighth Top 100 chart entry and his first since November 2013’s “Girls (All Around the World)” (HP-59). Rudimental are new at No.61 with the song entitled “Never Let You Go”, this track is NOT from their debut album ‘Home’, and becomes the dance acts sixth chart entry here.

The club theme song for Brisbane rugby league team ‘The Broncos’ debuts at No.70 entitled “We’re the Broncos” as performed by The Broncos, and this is the fourth for the team to chart in Australia. The first occurred in 1989 for an act calling themselves On the Ball and “Let’s Go Broncos” (HP-78, July), and then three years later an act called Ipswich Connection and “Hey, Hey We’re the Broncos” (HP-28, Oct 1992, cassingle only) and finally Anthony Mundine and Black Venom with “Bronco Fever” (HP-99, Sept 1997).

Australian act Carmada score their second chart entry this week as “On Fire” featuring Maribelle debuts at No.76, with their first track “Maybe” having peaked at No.53 in December of 2014, and two further local acts to enter this week are The Kite String Tangle at No.99 with “Illuminate”, the fourth entry for the act, and one place lower at #100 are Oh Snap! and Bombs Away who team up for the gratuitous dance song “Squats”, which becomes the first entry for Oh Snap! and the sixth for Bombs Away.

Flo Rida remains in the Top 50 with “GDFR” (TW-48) and he also debuts at No.77 with “I Don’t Like it, I Love it” which features guest vocals from Robin Thicke and Verdine White. Disclosure land their fourth chart entry by debuting at No.94 with “Bang That” and landing his second chart entry for this year is Nick Jonas who sees his follow-up to “Jealous” (TW-54) come in at No.96 this one entitled “Chains”.
