B.B. King Falls, Cancels Remaining Shows

Blues legend B.B. King has cancelled his next eight shows after falling on stage in Chicago on Friday night.

A statement at his official website reads, “Mr. King fell ill last night, Oct 3 2014 during his performance at the House of Blues in Chicago. He was immediately evaluated by a doctor and diagnosed with dehydration and suffering from exhaustion whereby causing the eight remaining shows of his current tour to be cancelled.”

The 89-year old blues legend was due to perform at Fort Wayne, IN on Saturday night and continue the tour through Charleston, Torrington, Rutland, Montclair, New York and Munhall.

His New York shows on October 12 and 13 would have been at his own club the B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square.

No further statement has been issued on King’s condition.
