Bigsound 2014 has announced its first round of speakers form 2014 with representatives from SXSW (USA) and The Great Escape (UK) heading to Australia for seminars at the Brisbane music conference.

Bigsound 2014 is on from September 10 to 12 in Brisbane. In recent years BigSound has grown to be the biggest music conference event in Australia.

“Bigsound is more than just a local music conference,” said Bigsound programmer Nick O’Byrne. “The enthusiasm and willingness of some of the globe’s most influential live music bookers to travel across the world to see our artists before they even leave our shores speaks volumes about Australia’s reputation as one of the world’s most exciting A&R hubs.”

“We know how important it is to make connections with buyers of the highest international calibre. Bigsound 2014 has only just started scratching the surface with this first lineup announcement, but this is already the most diverse and influential group of live music buyers we’ve ever seen in Australia.”
