Billboard Names Biggest Summer Songs 1959-2014

For the last several years, Billboard has been charting the top songs of the summer, with 2015 currently being led by the monster hit See You Then by Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth which has spent the last twelve weeks at number 1.

On Friday, they released a new chart compiling the one hundred biggest songs of the last sixty summers which is led by the 1997 tribute to the then recently deceased Notorious B.I.G., I’ll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy & Faith Evans Featuring 112. Ironically, the song on which it was based, the Police’s Every Breath You Take is on the chart at number 5.

In second is the next summer’s biggest hit, 1998’s The Boy is Mine by Brandy and Monica while third place jumps all the way back to the summer of 1961 and Bobby Lewis’ Tossin’ and Turnin’.
