The group recorded one full length album, 1969’s Flash, along with a number of singles throughout the latter part of the 60’s.

The band played to a full house on Saturday night at B.B. King’s in New York with all four original members on the stage. It was the first time they had played a show since July 4, 1969. From that show, here is On the Green.

…and their very psych version of the Beatles I Want to Hold Your Hand.

The set list:

Main Set
On The Green
You Make Me Shake (from Flash, 1969)
What Are You Going to Do (single, b-side of 99th Floor, 1967)
Foxy Lady (Jimi Hendrix Experience cover)
Red House (Jimi Hendrix Experience cover)
Joe Blues (from Flash, 1969)
You Don’t Know The Life (from Flash, 1969)
Pluto – Sept. 31st (from Flash, 1969)
Flashback (from Flash, 1969)
No Good to Cry (from Flash, 1969)
Before You Accuse Me (Bo Diddley cover)
Reverbnation (13th Floor Elevators cover)
Need Me (single, 1967)
Wild Thing (Troggs cover)

Encore
Catfish Blues / If 6 Was 9 (Jimi Hendrix cover)
99th Floor (single, 1967)
I Want to Hold Your Hand (single, 1968)

The band will play together one last time (at least for now) on April 28th at Austin’s Psych Fest.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
