Blondie Debut Video For ‘Fun’

in News

Blondie has released the video for Fun, the first single from their upcoming album Pollinator.

Incredibly, the album is only their eleventh since the band formed in the mid-70’s. According to sources, the set is a return to a more traditional band sound after experimenting with electronica on Ghosts of Download in 2014.

Fun is a collaboration between Blondie’s regular songwriters, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, and David Sitek of TV On the Radio. Other songs on the album are written by the likes of Johnny Marr, Sia, Nick Valensi from The Strokes, Charli XCX and Dev Hynes (aka Lightspeed Champion & Blood Orange).

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
