Bob Lefsetz To Interview Paul Kelly and Ken West for Australian Music Week Podcasts

by Paul Cashmere on November 1, 2019

in News,Noise Pro

American music industry analyst Bob Lefsetz will set down with Australian songwriting legend Paul Kelly and Big Day Out co-founder Ken West for his Podcast programs while he is in Australia next week for Australian Music Week.

For more than two decades Lefsetz has anally probed the music industry. His followers are those who agree with him but equally those who disagree with him.

Bob’s The Lefsetz Letter is built its audience as a truth serum. He doesn’t give a fuck what the subjects of his analyst thinks and therefore has no problem issuing passionate and undiluted views of the music business.

That insight has made fascinating case studies. His take on Paul Kelly’s colloquial following and the Ken West Big Day Out roller-coaster in the wake of Fyre Festival and the more recent Woodstock train-wreck should give his global followers barometer for where Australia fits within the global scheme of things.

The Lefsetz insight will be further discussed with Bob’s keynote speech Q&A with myself on Thursday 7 November, 2019 at the Australian Music Week conference.

Ticket prices for Australian Music Week have been kept low thanks to our supporting partners. Along with the free Beach Concert Series, ten venues in Cronulla will host 150 showcasing artists across the five days. With a one-day show pass at $16, you can venue hop to catch up to 45 artist showcases, while a 3-day live show pass gets you into all venues at $41. For conference passes / live show venue tix head to OZTIX. *$1 per every ticket will go towards Support Act.

Over 20 panels will feature the cream of the Australian Music Industry – covering Radio / Media & Marketing / Women In Music / Country Music / Americana / Exports / Business & Branding / Management and more
