Treasured Australian singer songwriter Broderick Smith will release ‘Man Out Of Time’, his first album in around a decade, in October.

Smith had been working on ‘Man Out Of Time’ for the past three years. He’ll release it through Gudinski’s Bloodlines.

“I’m always writing and doing other things; little shows by myself, the odd festival. All I want to do is make the best records that I can,” Broderick said in a statement.

Broderick Smith released his first album ‘Blown’ in 1972 as a member of Carson.

Smith was the voice of The Dingoes and their classic “Way Out West’.

Then in 1982 came Broderick Smith’s Big Combo with the epic track ‘Ruby In The Snow’.

The ‘Man Out Of Time’ album will coincide with the publication of Broderick Smith’s autobiography also called ‘Man Out Of Time’ through Starman Books.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
