Byron Bay Bluesfest Announces Still More Bands

by Tim Cashmere on December 19, 2011

in Live,News

Byron Bay’s Bluesfest has been beefed up a little more with the addition of ten more bands to their already huge lineup.

Joining the list will be Sublime with Rome, Zappa Plays Zappa, Dawes, Josh Pyke, Blue King Brown, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, James Vincent McMorrow, Busby Marou, 1814 and Eilen Jewell.

They join the already stellar lineup which includes Cold Chisel, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Roger Daltrey, The Specials, The Pogues, Earth, Wind and Fire and Buddy Guy to name a few.

I don’t need to bang on any more about what a great time there is to be had at this festival, but here are some details that might come in handy:

  • The festival takes place in Byron Bay from April 5 – 9.
  • If you want tickets, head on over to www.bluesfest.com.au.
  • If you want accommodation, info can be found at that same site. I’d get onto that now if I were you.
  • If you want someone to make your mind up for you, I’ll do that. Yes, you should go. It’s great. When I was there both Maceo Parker and Buddy Guy both played. They were great.
