Cher Mourns Ex-Husband Gregg Allman

Cher has posted a series of Tweets mourning her former husband Gregg Allman, who died of liver cancer on the weekend.

She said ‘words are impossible’ trying to describe her feelings.

She then shared some of her favourite photos.

Gregg Allman was married six times. Cher was his third wife. They were married from 1975 to 1979. Together they had a son, Elijah Blue Allman, now aged 40. Elijah is the lead singer in the band Deadsy.

Allman and Cher recorded one album together, ‘Two The Hard Way’ as Allman and Woman, released in 1977. The album was a complete flop with Rolling Stone at the time reviewing it saying “It’s hard to imagine a more inappropriate combination … It’s the bottom of the barrel after a long fall for Gregg, and more of the same for Cher.”

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
