Sanchez is no stranger to the comic world, having created and penned The Amory Wars and Kill Audio, which have been perfect companions to Coheed & Cambria’s mythology-laden albums.

He now launches Key Of Z, a comic set in a divided New York City, overrun by zombies. He co-wrote it with Chondra Echert, who also worked on Kill Audio, with covers provided by Nathan Fox (of Fluorescent Black) and Tony Moore (of The Walking Dead) and artwork by Aaron Kuder, who worked on The Amory Wars.

The first issue of Key Of Z is available in comic shops and digitally on the comiXology platform.

Into the nerdy bargain, C&C have had new song ‘Deranged’ included on a Collector’s Edition of the Batman: Arkham City video game.
