‘Black & White’, Colleen Hewett’s first album in 14 years, has debuted at number one on the Australian Jazz Chart.

Black & White’ is an emotional album for Colleen, led by the first track ‘Shut Up and Let Me Breathe’, a potent song about domestic violence.

Colleen Hewett’s first album in more than a decade is essentially a blues record and opens with the blues track ‘Blues Is My Business’. The album also features the track ‘Daddy Said’ written by Colleen’s son William and ‘Rockin’ Chair’ about her grandmother, written by Melbourne musician Tony Naylor.

‘Shut Up And Let Me Breathe’ was written for the Violence Free Families initiative.
