The Newcastle Herald reports that a New South Wales District Court has ordered Flo Rida and his management pay $400,000 to the organisers of Newcastle’s Fat As Butter Festival.

Flo Rida was a no-show at Newcastle’s Fat As Butter late last year, who claim that he cancelled minutes before he was about to go on, as he’d slept in. Flo responded to AllHipHop.com that he wasn’t provided proper transport or accommodation, but that he eventually did show. Obviously, the festival organisers are pretty sure he didn’t; they certainly heard about it from fans.

Regardless, the NSW court has ordered Flo Rida to pay over $400,000 in compensation to Mothership Music, which covers their outlay of air fares, accommodation and hospitality, as well as damages to their reputation with fans and the industry due to his absence, and legal fees.

Neither Flo Rida or his Australian rep appeared in court, but legal documents were reportedly served via Facebook. We spoke to Flo Rida during his most recent Australian visit. Check out the chat below.
