Sydney’s Vivid LIVE arts festival has announced its line-up, including Florence + The Machine, Karen O, PVT, Amon Tobin, and Seekae.

The annual Sydney festival has announced another diverse and challenging line-up, covering art, film, music, dance and multimedia.

German design collective UrbanScreen will use the Opera House sails as a canvas for a projected artwork.

Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs teams up with production designer KK Barrett and a host of collaborators including Money Mark and members of The Greenhornes, for the Stop The Virgens song cycle.

Florence + The Machine team with The Ceremonial Orchestra for a huge production.

And there are performances from The Temper Trap; Janelle Monae and the Archandroid Orchestra; Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly and Sufjan Stevens; PVT, Amon Tobin’s 3D audiovisual experience; Seekae; Tom Vek, Jonathon Boulet and Kindness; Zola Jesus, Light Asylum and Forces; My Brightest Diamond; Imogen Heap; and a screening of the LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits.

Vivid LIVE has previously been curated by Lou Reed, Brian Eno, and Steve Pavlovic of Modular Recordings, but from 2012 it will be overseen by the Sydney Opera House programming team, led by Head of Contemporary Music, Fergus Linehan as Festival Director.

Centred around the Sydney Opera House but covering a vast variety of venues, it runs from May 25 – June 3 .
