George Duke Memorial To Stream Live

The memorial service for the late George Duke will stream live on the Centric network’s site, CentricTV.com.

Duke died on August 5 in Los Angeles after battling leukemia. He was a member of the Mothers of Invention and played on the sessions for such classic albums as Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall and Miles Davis’ Tutu.

The “Celebration of Life” will be held at Lure in Los Angeles next Monday (August 19) at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT). The ceremony will include a film on his life and influence and performances by Diane Reeves, Jeffrey Osborne, Quincy Jones and Stanley Clarke.
