Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons one-off show for Melbourne at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda will be a rare event.

Joe Camilleri is reforming Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons as a tribute to pay homage to The Falcons bass player John Power, who died suddenly in November 2018 from heart failure.

John was the bass player for Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons from 1975-1982, 1984, 2001, 2003-2004, 2011 and the 2017 reunion. Prior to The Falcons he was also a member of the Foreday Riders and later The Hippos and The Rock Doctors.

Joe paid tribute to John saying, “Loved his company his wit and musicality…walked into each other’s lives not too much was said. John played bass and could sing in that world…he was the business”.

All seats to the show have now sold-out and standing room is getting low, so this will be a sell-out show and your only chance to see Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons for 2019.

This is a benefit show. All proceeds from the show will go to John’s immediate family.

JO JO ZEP & the FALCONS + ROCK DOCTORS feature JOE CAMILLERI, JEFF BURSTIN, CHRIS STOCKLEY, WAYNE BURT, WILBUR WILDE, TONY FAEHSE GARY YOUNG, STEVE WILLIAMS, PETE MUHLEISEN, HAYDN MEGGITT & TRAVIS CLARKE.

*** As a further tribute to John a compilation CD with tracks from Company Caine, Foreday Riders, Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, Rock Doctors and the Hippos will be given to all ticket holders on the night. ***

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
