John Fogerty To Donate A House With His Cancelled Woodstock 50 Fee

Creedence Clearwater Revival legend John Fogerty will dedicate the ‘Proud Mary – John Fogerty Container Home’ at Veterans Village in Las Vegas on 11 November. Fogerty funded the construction of the ‘Proud Mary’ container using the money he received from the cancelled Woodstock 50 event.

All artists who were going to play at the cancelled Woodstock 50 were paid in full in advance. When the event was cancelled all artists were asked if they would consider making a donation to the charity of their choice with a least some of the funds. It is understood Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead and now John Fogerty are only a few of the acts who have made a charitable donation.

John and Julie Fogerty chose the Veteran’s Village as the benefactor of their donation.

The Fogerty’s will attend a private screening of his new concert film ’50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks’ with Las Vegas veterans and make the dedication on the day.

John Fogerty will also return to the Wynn’s Encore Theatre for his final string of residency performances on November 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16. His new album, “50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks,” will be released on Nov. 8, 2019 via BMG.
