It looks like Kasey Chamber may have just unveiled the next generation of her heritage family band, the Dead Ringer Band.

Kasey returned to the stage in Tamworth on Friday night, following her nodules scare late last year, and took the kids along to the show.

“My kids (Talon-12,Arlo-7 & Poet-3) decided to wander out on stage last night uninvited & steal all my thunder in Pony…(last time I take them to a gig that’s for sure…),” Kasey told fans on her Facebook page.

The Dead Ringer Band was the family band of Bill and Diane Chambers, Kasey’s parents. Bill and Diane led a nomadic lifestyle and always took their two children, Kasey and brother Nash, along on the road.

Bill and Diane originally performed as a duo but in 1987 Kasey, aged 10, joined the group and then Nash followed soon after. The family band became The Dead Ringer Band.

In 1995 The Dead Ringer Band picked up the award for Best Group at the Country Music Association Awards.

In 1999, Kasey released her debut solo album ‘The Captain’ produced by her brother Nash. It sold over 140,000 copies in Australia. The next album ‘Barricades and Brickwalls’, featuring the hit song ‘Not Pretty Enough’, sold over 500,000.

Kasey Chambers will reboot her Bittersweet Australian tour in Mandurah in February. See all the dates here.
