Lady Gaga has gone full-frontal for a campaign video.
The ARTPOP singer decided to perform the Abramovic Method stark naked in a promo supporting the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI).
The unconventional school is designed for participants ‘to increase awareness of their physical and mental experience in the moment’, according to the organisation’s website.
Gaga employed the method effortlessly in the two-minute video entitled The Abramovic Method Practiced by Lady Gaga that was posted on MAI’s Vimeo profile on Wednesday.
She gutturally hummed one note that resonated throughout the piece in a haunting fashion before appearing before the camera baring her private parts.
Last month Gaga joined Marina, the founder of Abramovic Method, at a benefit event in New York’s Watermill Center.
The star is a huge supporter of the organisation, which has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to build an ‘interdisciplinary performance and education centre, home to long durational work and the Abramovic Method’.
The movement’s mission is to house, generate and support all types of art.
‘Marina Abramovic Institute is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of long durational work, including that of performance art, dance, theatre, film, music, opera, and other forms that may develop in the future,’ the mission statement reads.
‘MAI will foster collaboration between art, science, technology, and spirituality, bringing these fields into conversation with long durational work. MAI will provide an educational space to host workshops, lectures, residencies, and research.’
