Lisa Fischer to perform during Melbourne International Jazz Festival

The incredible voice of Lisa Fischer has been added to the Melbourne International Jazz Festival for 2019.

Lisa has worked on and off with the Rolling Stones since 1989. She started worked on the Steel Wheels tour and was part of the subsequent Voodoo Lounge, Bridges to Babylon, No Security, Licks, A Bigger Bang, 50 & Counting, 14 On Fire and Zip Code tours.

Lisa has also toured as backing singer for Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Tina Turner, Chris Botti, Louis Vega and Nine Inch Nails.

In 1992, Lisa Fischer won a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for ‘How Can I Ease the Pain’ and picked up another for Best Music Film for her part in ’20 Feet From Stardom’ in 2014.

Lisa Fischer will perform Melbourne Recital Centre on 5 June 2019.
