The singer has recently released new song Almost Home, which appears on Oz the Great and Powerful film soundtrack.

MTV reports that Mariah told Ryan Seacrest that she desires to get the album out ‘ASAP.’

‘I’m working really hard,’ the singer told Ryan, before joking about her long time collaborator and fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson.

“Randy, he hasn’t even been in the studio in like months to hear what I have,’ she laughed.

‘He doesn’t know every detail of this because I’ve been working with a bunch of people in secret locations.”

The singer released a new single Triumphant last year, which may have given fans a clue about the sound she is currently working on in the studio.

Last August, Mariah’s producer Bryan Michael Cox revealed that the singer had been busy on the album even before she became pregnant with twins Monroe and Moroccan.

“She was committed to making it before she got pregnant,’ he told MTV.

‘Then she got pregnant and she took the time off. Then after she came back, we started really vibing again and we picked up right where we left off.

‘I just feel like between [record producer] Jermaine Dupri, myself and her, we came up with a few things that [are] really, really a solid body of work.”

The video for Almost home will be released on March 8, the same day as the James Franco film is released in U.S. cinemas.
