Melbourne Guitar Show Has Fans Lined Up For 2017 Event

Melbourne Guitar Show opened to its biggest ever attendance in 2017 with fans, industry and bedroom guitarist lining up ahead of doors opening on Saturday.

Over the past three years the Melbourne Guitar Show at Caulfield Racecourse has grown to become one of Australia’s prized music events.

Over 100 exhibitors have millions of dollars of instruments on display at the Melbourne Guitar Show for 2017.

2017 is a better set out event with three levels of displays and stages.

The ground level has electric products and the café with personal sessions, level one is acoustic products with performances on the AON mezzanine stage and acoustic stage along with the workshop room. Level two is the AON Whammy bar for electric performances.

A Saturday highlight was the all-star Nick Charles Blues and Roots Show featuring Lloyd Spiegel, Fiona Boyes, Phil Manning, Andrew Wrigglesworth and Geoff Achison.

Sunday has a performance from Genesis legend Steve Hackett then Q&A, showcases from Shannon Bourne and The Mercy Kills, Bob Spencer in the Café, Diesel hosting a guitar clinic and the finale, the Triple M Finale Jam with Bob Spencer, Shannon Bourne, James Ryan, Nick Johnston and Alex Hutchings.
