Family matriarch Katherine filed a wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Live, accusing the company of negligent behaviour that led to the King of Pop’s 2009 death.

Michael leaves three children behind, son Prince, 16, daughter Paris, 15, and son Blanket, 11.

Although Paris reportedly impressed during a recent deposition on the matter, it is rumoured defence attorneys are preparing to ask intrusive questions to the children.

Should they be called to the witness stand, both Prince and Paris are subject to interrogation on their late father’s sex life and bizarre behaviour.

‘We feel that with the world not watching, the kids will get a rough ride,’ a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

‘The defence counsel’s approach is likely be far more aggressive.

‘There may be lots of questions about Michael’s child molestation court cases and how he behaved when he was on drugs. It could be stomach churning stuff.’

It is said defence will be ‘digging the dirt’ because TV cameras have been banned from filming the trial by the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The family accuses AEG Live of helping to cause Michael’s death by ‘pressuring him to prepare for his 2009 comeback concerts, despite his fragile health’.

The suit claims AEG Live executives ‘hired and supervised Dr. [Conrad] Murray,’ who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Michael’s death.

He has been serving a four-year sentence in Los Angeles County Jail since November 2011.

Final jury selection for the trial is scheduled for April 10.

AEG deny any wrongdoing.
