Muse Announce Eighth Album ‘Simulation Theory’

by Paul Cashmere on September 2, 2018

in News

Muse have previewed their new album ‘Simulation Theory’ with the new song ‘Dark Side’.

Muse must still be a not band. Two days after debuting on YouTube ‘’Dark Side’ has clocked up 1.7 million views.

The next album looks like it will take on a few sound twists with Muse using various producers for the project. Rich Costey, Mike Elizondo, Shellback and Timbaland and the names thrown around. Matt Bellamy has been talking about Muse experimenting with hip-hop, hence the name Timbaland appearing on the list. However, Shellback is more aligned with works for Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and Pink so WTF?

Songs for this album began in 2016 at the completion of the Drones world tour.

The album will also come in three sizes. Standard (11 tracks), Deluxe (16 tracks), and Super Deluxe (21 tracks). The expanded tracklisting features an acoustic gospel version of Dig Down, The UCLA Bruin Marching Band feature on Pressure, a live version of Thought Contagion, acoustic versions of several tracks, including Something Humanand “Alternate Reality” versions of Algorithm and The Dark Side.
