Adele Clocks Up Another 65719 Sales In Australia

Adele ‘25’ has sold a further 65,719 albums in Australia in the second week on sale bringing its tally to 191,782 sales.

In keeping with the global pattern Adele’s ‘25’ is being purchased mainly as a CD. 72% of all Adele ‘25’ sales this week were physical disc creating a sales boom for record store owners.

While sales in the Top 500 were down by 30,000 units this week, sales for Top 2-500 albums were up 30,000. Factoring in the Adele phenomenon the number one spot was down last week by 60,000 sales but the rest of the chart was up. Christmas is coming.

The Australian Top 10 this week features three Christmas album ‘ ‘Christmas’ Michael Buble at no 3, ‘Kylie Christmas’ by Kylie Minogue at no 9 and ‘The Christmas Album’ by Human Nature at no 10.
