DJ Albo Plays His First Music Festival With Another Killer Setlist

by Paul Cashmere on January 10, 2016

in Live,News

DJ Albo hit the decks on Sunday for his first music festival for Sydney’s FBI Radio.

DJ Albo is the alter ego of the Federal Member for Grayndler, the Honourable Anthony Albanese.

As well as having served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia and Leader of the House of Representatives, DJ Albo also has exquisite music taste and dished up his alternative rock recipe during your Sunday roast.

Albo kicked off with a tribute to Stevie Wright with the late singer’s Easybeats classic ‘She’s So Fine’ and showed why Aussie Rock rocks with a menu of classic Spiderbait, Radio Birdman and The Hummingbirds as well as the more contemporary Tame Impala, Courtney Barnett and The Preatures.

DJ Albo left the last song of the show for his voters, John Kennedy’s ‘Miracle In Marrickville’.

However programming kudos to the member for Grayndler with Bowie and Iggy Pop back to back and a tasty lined three played from The Wombats, Joy Division and New Order.
