Kate Miller-Heidke Has Christmas Bush Song And We Aren’t About Talking Trees

Kate Miller-Heidke has an insanely funny Christmas song and it is all about a Christmas bush … and by that we mean pubes.

‘I’m Growing A Beard Downstairs For Christmas’ has lines like “I’m growing a beard downstairs for Christmas, growing it big, growing it thick, growing it for you”.

The song features The Beards who chip in with “One day at the local pool, I saw a lifeguard with hair growing out of his anus, I was so impressed it looked like Tom Selleck’s chest”.

“The Beards opened for me on tour a couple of years ago, and some of their fans heckled me for not having a beard,” Kate said. “This song is my revenge on them. Also, it taps into my sick love of Christmas songs. It’s one of the poppiest, most upbeat songs I’ve ever written and it’s my dream that it gets played at Westfield during extended Christmas shopping hours. Also, it’s for charity.”

Proceeds of the song will go to Bowel Cancer Australia. The Beards’ frontman Johann Beardraven says, “Kate has always been a staunch supporter of beards, so it’s great to team up on a beard-related project like this. It’s also fantastic to be supporting a cause like Decembeard – much to our horror, we’ve just discovered that people with beards are also susceptible to bowel cancer, so naturally we’re keen to try and make a difference.”
