Highly Suspect Choose Australia Over SXSW In 2016

in Live,News

US rock act Highly Suspect play dates in Australia for the first time in 2016 at a time they could be showcasing for America at SXSW.

Highly Suspect is the latest signing to Lyor Cohen’s 300 label. Cohen ran hip-hop label Def Jam and took over Warner in 2004. After resigning from Warner in 2012 he set up 300 after a $5million investment from Google.

As well as Highly Suspect 300 also has Australia’s Conrad Sewell and Meg Mac. 300’s roster of artists also includes Young Thug, Fetty Wap, Migos, Eric Bellinger, Rich The Kid, Alex Winston, Jacquie Lee and Panama.

Highly Suspect is a act to watch in 2016. The band formed 2009 by Cape Cod natives Johnny Stevens and twin brothers Rich and Ryan Meyer. They have played over 800 shows and toured with Faith No More and Deftones.

Highly Suspect have been nominated for a Grammy Award for ‘Lydia’ from their debut album ‘Mister Asylum’.

Highly Suspect will tour Australia for Live Nation. What is interesting is that such a high priority act will be performing in Australian pubs instead of showcasing at SXSW in 2016. Check the dates below.

Highly Suspect dates

March 15, Brisbane, Brightside
March 16, Melbourne, Evelyn Hotel
March 17, Sydney, Factory Floor
