Official Download Festival Sideshows Announced

Metal fans in Brisbane and Adelaide, start exercising your horn-throwing muscles because the Download Festival is throwing out some headline shows for you!

Deftones, Ministry, In Flames, Testament and The Hu are all branching out across the country.

Deftones’ debut album Adrenaline hit shelves in 1995 at a time when Limp Bizkit and Korn were exploding onto the scene. While the latter two appealed to the masses, Deftones had an edge due to their arty side. By the time White Pony was released in 2000, they were experimenting with sounds in a way that none of their peers dared try.

The Sacramento band will be playing shows in Brisbane and Adelaide, with Grammy-nominated Baroness supporting in Brisbane.

Words like “legendary”, “iconic” and “classic” get thrown around a lot in this business, but Testament are deserving of them all. The band have shown no signs of slowing down, but that doesn’t mean you should wait to check them out.
