Paul Anka Releases New Duets Album And Autobiography

Paul Anka goes the partnering with other artists route with Duets, out April 9 on Legacy. The release date coincides with his new book My Way: An Autobiography.

On Duets, Anka sings with numerous legends, some alive and some appearing through their previous recordings. Among the veterans on the album are George Benson, Michael McDonald, Dolly Parton, Leon Russell, Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan, Willie Nelson, Patti LaBelle, Peter Cetera, Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra. Source material runs from new recordings to existing recordings with new vocals and arrangements and previously released tracks from Anka’s 1998 album A Body of Work.

Anka says in the liner notes “I am proud of what you are about to hear, and I am grateful to those of you out there who continue to show an interest in every body of work that I create. I have always said that success has many fathers and I thank everyone who has made this venture possible; it is always a team effort.”
