R.I.P. Harry Dean Stanton 1926-2017

One of American’s greatest character actors Harry Dean Stanton has died at the age of 91.

Stanton was involved in ‘Paris Texas’, ‘The Godfather Part II’, ‘Pretty In Pink’, ‘Alien’ and ‘The Green Mile’.

Harry Dean Stanton’s last role was reprising the character Carl Rodd in Twin Peaks: The Return.

Harry has appeared in numerous music videos like Dwight Yoakam’s ‘Sorry You Asked’, Ry Cooder’s ‘Get Rhythm’, Bob Dylan’s ‘Dreamin Of You’ and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club ‘Stop’.

Harry never married but once dated Deborah Harry who wrote ‘I Want That Man’ about him.

Harry Dean Stanton died of natural causes at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
