Sydney-sider sisters Neige (vocals/bass) and O (guitar/vocals) Koppes travelled to New York, London and Los Angeles, before landing in Melbourne late 2010. There they met guitarist Aaron Ronaldson, who shared their love of psychedelia, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and PJ Harvey, and Rain Party was formed. They were eventually joined by Andrew Congues on drums.
