Sarah Blasko Debuts New Song Phantom

in News

Sarah Blasko has a new song ‘Phantom’ and a new album ‘Depth of Field’ coming in 2018.

‘Depth of Field’ will be the sixth studio album for two-time ARIA winner Sarah Blasko.

The video for the song was made by Australian director Mclean Stephenson.

About ‘Phantom’ Sarah says, “I asked my Dad (a History & English teacher) to record himself reading poetry for inspiration. He quoted a line from Nietzsche which contained the word ‘Phantom’. This song is about the role that influential people play in your life, forming who you are. I feel I carry them with me. Their presence is so tangible even when they’re not there. Like a phantom limb”.

The ABC will air the documentary ‘Blasko’ on 14 November at 9.30pm.

‘Depth of Field’ will be released on 23 February 2018.
