Sheppard Geronimo Is Biggest Selling Australian Artist Song Of 2014

Sheppard’s ‘Geronimo’ is the biggest selling song by an Australian artist s far this year, coming in at no. 3 behind Pharrell Williams and A Great Big World.

Although ‘Geronimo’ only spent three weeks at number one it has outsold the nine week reign of Justice Crew ‘Que Sera’ as well as Joel Fletcher featuring Savage ‘Swing’, Sia ‘Chandelier’ and 5 Seconds of Summer ‘She Looks So Perfect’.

Sheppard’s ‘Bombs Away’ album is looking for a possible number one debut this weekend on the ARIA chart but its too close to call with Rise Against ‘The Black Market’ and Taylor Henderson ‘Burnt Letters’ also selling consistently in the last seven days.

Noise11 reports the number one single and album every Saturday at 7pm.

While Australian five acts make up the Top 10 songs of 2014 so far, the album chart features just one Australian act INXS. ‘The Very Best’ album has been a consistent seller since the INXS documentary ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ aired earlier this year.
