Fourteen months ago, we reported that Jeff Hanneman, guitarist for Slayer, would be dropping out of the group’s upcoming tour after a spider bite turned into necrotising fasciitis, also known as flesh-eating disease. For a second year, Hanneman will not be able to tour because of ongoing problems with the bite and the ensuing infection.
