Stevie Van Zandt has given his fans a heads up on an Australian tour that is yet to be announced, and it has a Bluesfest date.

Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul will tour Australia in April. They play Bluesfest as well as Melbourne and Sydney dates as well one one New Zealand show.

Stevie was last in Australia two years ago for his “day job” as guitarist for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

“I know it’s hard to believe, a lot has happened since, but I believe it was only 2 years ago January. Either way, we are bringing the Disciples of Soul Soulfire Show to Byron Bay April 18/20, Melbourne 23, Sydney 25, Auckland 27. And we are hoping for Perth/Adelaide April 14/16!,” he tweeted.

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts.
