In their personal message to Doc they said, “We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news regarding the condition of Doc Neeson’s health. Two of us, Rick and John Brewster, formed The Angels with Doc 39 years ago, in 1974, and have spent many years working together, and some years apart.

“We are thinking of all the good times we’ve had and the camaraderie that came with them, the hard work that we all did
over so many years.

“Our thoughts are with Doc, his family and others close to him, and we wish him a speedy and complete recovery”.

It was signed John Brewster, Rick Brewster and Chris Bailey (from The Angels).

Doc Neeson was diagnosed with a brain tumor over Christmas and is being treated in a Sydney hospital. His Angels have cancelled all upcoming shows including their March tour with Guns N’ Roses and ZZ Top.

The Angels are in two forms in Australia at the moment with Rick being the only member to have never left the band. The Brewsters version released the staggeringly good ‘Take It To The Streets’ album in 2012.
