The Killers Are Covering Different Aussie To Each Hometown

The Killers have been adding a local flavour to each of their Australian shows by covering Australian artists from the city they come from at each gig.

Songs by Men At Work, INXS, The Vines and in New Zealand Crowded House have peppered each setlist from The Killers.

In Melbourne The Killers played Men At Work’s ‘Who Can I Be Now’, Perth copped INXS ‘Don’t Change’ (The Farriss brothers were originally from Perth), Brisbane opened to the sounds of The Saints ‘I’m Stranded’ while Sydney was given the real deal with Craig Nichols from The Vines joined the band for his own ‘Get Free’ and stayed to continue their ‘When We Were Young’.

New Zealand was also treated to the Crowded House classic but The Killers played the same song ‘Don’t Dream Its Over’ in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland. (For the record, while Neil Finn is a Kiwi, Crowded House formed in Melbourne where Neil was living at the time. The other two members were Aussies and the band is considered an Australian band due to its place of origin, not a New Zealand band were Neil was born … but lets not tell The Killers that).

The Killers will perform in Adelaide tonight. What will they play? The choice is strong and varied from The Easybeats, to Cold Chisel, to The Angels or maybe something more current like Sia or Guy Sebastian.
