Baron Wolman was the original music photographer for Rolling Stone magazine.

He started working for Rolling Stone just prior to the first issue.

During his time, he captured the history of rock and roll through his lens with images of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, The Stones, The Beatles, Dylan, Pete Townshend, Jerry Garcia … the list goes on.

Wolman photographed Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett) on their first US tour.

This was before MTV, internet, cable. The lens of Baron Wolman created the images we know of the artists.

In 2011, he released the book ‘Baron Wolman: Every Picture Tells A Story, the Rolling Stone Years’.
