Folk Uke come from true music pedigree. Amy Nelson is the daughter of Willie Nelson. Cathy Guthrie is the daughter of Arlo Guthrie and granddaughter of Woody Guthrie.
Musically the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree for Folk Uke. When you listen to their second album ‘Reincarnation’ you can hear a family tradition in the music.
Amy and Cathy didn’t know each other as kids, although their mothers were friends. They got together years later in San Diego when they were both working at the same restaurant.
